Advanced - Part 1 - Workflow automations based on dispositions
November 21, 2024
Scriptify lets you trigger automations that you can attach to your dispositions. This means you can make certain actions happen based on the outcome of a call. You can add these automations by going to your Settings, clicking on Custom dispositions, and then clicking the little gear icon next to any disposition you want to attach an automation to.
Now let's consider a few situations where you might want to do this. Let's say you are dialing, and your most common call outcome is that the other side is not the right person to talk to. Since this is fairly generic, you might want to trigger an automation that automatically logs the call with a specific note and begins dialing the next prospect. Let's see how we can do this.
First, let's find the right disposition. In this case, it's "wrong person," then we click on the little gear icon right here. Next, let's first add a note, say "This was not the right person." We will click "add," then click "automatically log the call," and finally add "start dialing next." As you can see, we can group automations together so that when we click on this disposition, all three automations will trigger together and help streamline our workflow.
Let's consider another example.
Say you are dialing without the AI human detection turned on. This means that all calls, including answering machines, will be connected. As soon as you get an answering machine, you might want to automatically leave a pre-recorded voicemail, add a note that says "left voicemail," log the call, and dial the next person.
For this, we first select "Leave voicemail" from the options and add it. Next, we will add a note that says "Left voicemail," and then we not only want to auto-log this call but also want to trigger dial next. As you can see, when you click on the "Left voicemail" disposition, all these automations will run together.
There are a few important things to note here:
1. If you want to leave a voicemail, you must have the desired pre-recorded voicemail selected during your dial session; otherwise, Scriptify will not know which voicemail to leave when you trigger this automation.
2. Scriptify automatically figures out the order in which these automations run, which means you are free to add automations in whatever order you like without worrying about it.
